Looking to add a little color to your summer? Bring the whole family to downtown Bellevue and experience one of the Pacific Northwest’s largest and most celebrated festivals of its kind – The Bellevue Arts Fair Weekend. Taking place on July 26-28, this summertime celebration offers three separate fairs including the Bellevue Festival of the Arts, Bellevue Art Museum’s ARTSFair and Bellevue’s 6th Street Fair.
Park once and then head out to experience any one of these three events:
Celebrating its 67th anniversary this year, the Bellevue Art Museum’s ARTSFair is the original and longest running fair in downtown Bellevue. The festival is located near Bellevue Square and offers displays from more than 300 national artists producing handmade and original artwork. There will be a wide range of diverse art types such as ceramics, furniture, glass, photography, painting, jewelry, sculpture, wood and many more. If you have little ones in tow, make sure to participate in the KIDSFair which hosts a range of interactive, creative and brilliantly messy art projects for kids ages 3 – 12.
After strolling through the ARTSFair, head north from Bellevue Square to Cost Plus World Market and check out The Bellevue Festival of the Arts. In its 29th year, this festival features more than 200 artists and is organized by the vendors themselves, plus a portion of proceeds go to local non-profits! This fair is expected to draw about 150,000 people and highlights artists, craftspeople and musicians from the Northwest and beyond.
The 6th Street Fair, located on (yep, you guessed it!) 6th Street next to the Bellevue Galleria in downtown Bellevue, will be sure to delight people of all ages with a variety of exhibits and food vendors. This fair features 130 unique artists with a range of specialties including jewelry, home décor, pottery and paintings. Jazz, blues and rock musicians provide entertainment as you stroll amongst various arts and craft demonstrations or try one of the many food options available, which run the gamut from bratwurst to crepes to gyros.
Even better, these events are free to attend! Taking place on July 26-28, the festival hours on Friday and Saturday are from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Whether you’re 3 or 103, The Bellevue Arts Fair Weekend is a great place to experience arts and culture from all over the world.
