Looking for new places to explore during your days off this summer? Well, aside from the major 2 million square-foot, $1.2 billion expansion in downtown Bellevue on behalf of Kemper Development set to take place next year, there are a variety of new experiences opening around town for visitors to discover right now.
Below are some of our favorite new spots with innovative concepts, the latest techniques, and new offerings.
- The Salt Mine Arium, the northwest’s only salt spa, invites visitors to experience the rejuvenating therapy that relaxes, detoxifies and restores. Salt therapy – which features a process called “halotherapy” and is most commonly used in Eastern Europe, but is growing throughout North America – can be very beneficial in relieving symptoms such as asthma, bronchitis, eczema, and the common cold. It also boosts the immune system while offering deep relaxation. For a little more information on the Salt Mine Arium, check out their segment on Evening Magazine!
- Cactus is now open for business at Bellevue Square, offering a summer menu of delectable dishes including seared scallops and spicy habanero salsa, dungeness crab tamales, crispy babe farms squash blossoms and much more. The new location is the biggest yet for Cactus with 6,425 square-feet of space, which is nearly double the size of its Kirkland restaurant. In addition, the Cactus team has also launched weekend brunch at all locations from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, and a great happy hour taking place Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Spice up your summer and be sure to stop by the new Cactus!
